Help me understand something very fundamental about the verification-first architecture:

Assume you verify something, say that an address has a specific balance of BTC, and then you intend to act if it’s above some threshold. What happens if you’re being front run and by the time you act, it was already spent (or changed or whatever)? How would the verification-first approach handle this?
